Use of Microphone

Hippotoco may request access to the device microphone to support interactive speaking and pronunciation practice.

We use microphone access strictly for the following purposes:

  • Enabling English speaking exercises

  • Supporting pronunciation feedback during lessons

Audio Data Collection and Storage

  • We do not record, store, or save voice recordings

  • Audio is processed only temporarily during the speaking activity

  • No audio data is retained after the session ends

  • Audio data is not transmitted, sold, or shared with third parties

Children’s Audio Privacy

Hippotoco is designed for children, and we take special care to protect their privacy:

  • We do not collect personal audio data from children

  • We do not create voice profiles

  • We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

Terms of use

  • Hippotoco includes optional voice-based learning features that allow users to practice speaking and pronunciation as part of the English learning experience. By enabling microphone access, you (or your parent or legal guardian, if applicable) acknowledge and agree that:
  • The microphone is used only during active speaking practice activities
  • Audio input is processed in real time to support pronunciation and speaking exercises
  • Voice audio is not recorded, stored, saved, or retained by Hippotoco
  • Audio data is not shared with third parties
  • Microphone access is never used for advertising, tracking, or background monitoring
